1132 STUDENTS FROM THE DURBAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY WILL GRADUATE AT THE 2022 SPRING GRADUATION C


The countdown has begun for the Durban University of Technology (DUT) 2022 Spring Graduation Ceremonies, which will be hosted at the Durban Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 29 September 2022 and Friday, 30 September 2022.


A total of 1132 students from the Durban and Midlands campuses will graduate, comprising of 570 males and 562 females. The graduation list consists of 977 students who will be obtaining their undergraduate qualifications whilst 155 will receive their post-graduate degrees.


The DUT Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Thandwa Mthembu will confer the degrees and award the diplomas, whilst recognising the achievements of all the graduates.


Starting the celebrations on Thursday morning at 09h00 will be graduands from the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty Accounting and Informatics. In the second session at 14h00, the graduands from the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment will dominate the graduation stage. Closing off the Day 1 celebrations will be graduands from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and a group from the Faculty of Management Sciences.


Celebrations on Day 2 will commence with the Faculty of Arts and Design, together with the Faculty of Management Sciences. The fifth and final ceremony will feature the last cohort of the graduands from the Faculty of Management Sciences.

Faculty of Accounting and Informatics 168

Faculty of Health Sciences 64

DUT is looking forward to hosting another season of exciting graduation ceremonies, especially following the success of the Autumn celebratory graduation ceremonies in July. The University congratulates all students who will be graduating. A special thank you to the family, friends and funders who supported our students through the course of their studies. We also recognise the positive role played by our staff from the academic, administration and support services at DUT.
