Why should i fund you?

Great benefits offered by alum and ferric coagulant-laden sludge recovery to water treatment includes decrease in chemical demand, waste production, high sludge disposal cost and subsequent pollution of water sources. Existing recovery technologies such as acid digestion and conventional pressure driven membrane processes comes with huge process limitations.

Using Donnan Dialysis, the novel research study aligned with the South African National Strategy on Water and Wastewater Management seeks to recover the coagulant which can provide treatment quality and process economics as commercial coagulant.

The technology has been applied globally at laboratory scale for synthetic water but with no works on coagulant sludge and its commercial application. With great prospects and impact, I humbly apply for a bursary support.
